Pearson VUE 

Belmont College is an authorized testing center for Pearson VUE,  Belmont College is able to administer hundreds of certification exams. Many Exam Sponsors require you to create an online account through their website in order to register their certification exams. It is through their website that you are able to schedule and pay for your exams. Please visit the Pearson Vue website, or the sponsor’s website for the exam you wish to take, in order to see a full list of requirements.

Please remember to bring all required forms of identification with you on the day of the exam, or you will not be able to test. Any test candidates that arrive 15 minutes after their scheduled time will need to reschedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Testing Specialist, Amanda Hession, at extension 1187.

Many of the certification exams coordinate with our programs and degrees, such as:

Early Childhood Education
Through the Exam Sponsor, Ohio Assessment for Educators, our students are able to take over 40 different assessments; many of which are required by local employers. Here are a few of the frequently taken OAE assessments:

  • 012 Early Childhood Education
  • 023 Health
  • 036/037 Prekindergarten, Subtest I & II

Cyber Security and Computer Forensics
This program is Belmont's newest Information Technology degree designed to propel students into an entry-level position in network security.  The specialized curriculum will prepare students to sit for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) certifications in:  A+, Security+, and Network+.

Through Pearson Vue and Certiport, we are able to administer many certification exams that go hand in hand with our Networking program:

Emergency Medical Services

Belmont College has the ability to administer certification testing through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) in the following areas:

  • First Responder
  • EMT-Basic
  • EMT-Intermediate
  • EMT-Paramedic

Please note:  All candidates must go through a process and be cleared (given authorization to test) by the National Registry BEFORE they can be scheduled by Belmont College for testing.
