Receptionist

Belmont College is hiring for a part-time Receptionist.  This position is the frontline marketing position for Belmont College.  It serves as concierge and ambassador in person and on the phone, and makes the first impression of the Belmont College brand. It is responsible for operating the main switchboard, routing telephone calls, answering general questions for visitors and directing students and visitors to their destination.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes every person, every time in a friendly way.
  • Promptly answers incoming telephone calls with a smile that can be heard by the caller.
  • Maintaining personal appearance and dress consistent with the Belmont College brand.
  • Keeps front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material stocked Ensures that each call is routed to the appropriate person.
  • Assists visitors by providing directions to them their destination within the building.
  • Promotes an image of high quality and efficient service.
  • Maintains courtesy, professionalism, and positivity.
  • Answers questions from visitors, students and employees.
  • Assists as directed with clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements

1.) High School diploma or equivalent.

2.) One year experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant or related field.

3.) Ability to demonstrate proficiency with computer hardware, software, and other technologies.

4.) Ability to demonstrate a strong customer service attitude and professionalism.
