Course Schedule Format & Definitions

The schedule is divided into sections by course location.

  • Main is the Main Campus in Belmont County located in St. Clairsville, OH.
  • Monroe is the Monroe County location in Woodsfield, OH and Swiss Hills Career Center.
  • Harrison is the Harrison County location in Cadiz, OH.
  • Online is a course offered via the Internet.  Online courses often include online chats/live web conferencing, discussion boards, online tests, videos, and online assignment submission.  These classes can be identified on the schedule as having a building and room assignment of MyBelmont.
  • Video Conference is a course held at specific dates and times in a classroom.  Instructor communication with students at other sites is through a TV monitor and microphone system.  Students can see and speak with the instructor and other students at all sites in real time.  These classes are identified on the schedule with a section number of VB, VH, or VM.
  • Hybrid Course is a combination of an in-person class and an online class.  50% of the overall instruction time is delivered in the classroom and 50% is delivered online.  These classes can be identified on the schedule as having a building and room assignment of “HYBRI INT” as well as a classroom assignment.  These courses are listed on the Main, Monroe, or Harrison pages depending on where the classroom instruction will take place.
  • Flex Course has beginning and/or ending dates different than the beginning and ending dates of the entire term when it is offered.  These courses are identified by an “F” in the FLEX column of the schedule.  You must check the flex dates in the “Begin-End” column to determine when flex classes begin and end.
