Transfer Students
Transfer to Belmont...
Belmont College will accept credit earned at other institutions which are accredited
by regional accreditation agencies such as the North Central Association of College
and Schools. The courses must be comparable in regard to earned credit and quality
points to those taught at Belmont College.
Furthermore, in awarding credit to students transferring to Belmont College from
other institutions, the College is guided by the policies promoted by the Ohio Articulation
and Transfer Advisory Committee. In awarding credit to transfer students, Belmont
College uses standards identical to those for native students. In this manner we
ensure equality for native and transfer students.
Belmont College will accept transfer credit from other institutions in the categories
of Credit by Examination, Advanced Placement, U.S. Military, or other nontraditional
training credit.
Official college transcripts must be submitted to the Records Office. Credits
will be assessed and approved at the discretion of the Program Chair of the academic
department related to the student‘s degree.

Enrollment Checklist
Start at Belmont and Continue to a Bachelor's Program...
Many students do the first two years of their bachelor's degree here then transfer
to a four-year-school to finish.
A typical choice is to get an
Associate of Arts or an
Associate of Science degree. these are all-purpose degrees designed
specifically to transfer and represent the general education requirements of most
bachelor's degrees.
Additionally, many of our career and technical degrees also transfer.
