Off-Site Field Labs

Belmont’s BPR students can participate in week-long field labs at nationally known historic sites.

As an example,  past students have worked on:

  • Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece, Fallingwater
  • The Octagon House, designed by William Thornton
  • Stratford Hall, the home of the famous Lee family of Virginia
  • Officer’s quarters at West Point

BPR students also do a significant amount of work locally, working on many of the historic resources in the Ohio Valley.  In recent years student’s have worked on the following:

  • Restored the windows at the old Pleasant Hill one-room schoolhouse in Steubenville
  • Made structural repairs and reroofed an outbuilding at the Cockayne House in Glen Dale, WV
  • Repaired the windows at the St. Clairsville Public Library
  • Restored stained glass windows out of numerous churches
