Program Overview

Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning Technology

Students in the HVAC program study heating, ventilation, and air conditioning theory and the design and construction of equipment. They also learn the basics of installation, maintenance, and repair. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning mechanics are skilled workers who install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Students should have a mechanical aptitude and should be in good physical condition, because workers sometimes have to lift heavy equipment.
