Paying for Child Care
Belmont's Child Development Center Makes it Easy
The Cindy L. Jones Child Development Center offers many options for families considering
the costs involved with child care.
Our Center is licensed through the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (JFS),
making it possible for low-income families to qualify for assistance with child
care through all local county Job and Family Service offices. This assistance is
available for families with children ages birth through twelve years. Applications
for JFS assistance can be picked up in our Center or at any JFS office.
The West Virginia Child Care Resources also provides assistance to our families
living in West Virginia. This program is also for low-income families and serves
children from birth through twelve years of age. Families may stop in our Center
for additional details on this program and for assistance in setting up an appointment
with this agency.
Belmont College recognizes the need that many students have for child
care. When a family is determined ineligible for all other types of assistance,
the College takes a closer look at the needs of the family. In-house scholarships
are available on a sliding scale based on income. Applications can be completed
at any time in the Center with the Director.
When all else fails, our families find our fees to be very low compared to other
licensed child care centers. Our current hourly rate for any child is $3.00 per
hour. Please feel free to stop in with any questions in regard to your family’s
need for child care.
