 Belmont Technical College Board of Trustees Holds Reception for Belmont County Leaders

St. Clairsville, OH (May 24, 2011) —  The Belmont Technical College (BTC) Board of Trustees held a reception for Belmont County community leaders prior to their Board meeting on Thursday, May 19 at their Main Campus in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

The purpose of the event was to introduce local leaders to the College and demonstrate the importance of Belmont’s presence in the community. State Representative Lou Gentile and St. Clairsville Council Member Michael Kasper were in attendance.

Following the reception, the Board recognized Mr. Terry Carson, a BTC Board member from Harrsion County who will complete his tenure at the end of June. “Mr. Carson should be applauded for his exemplary performance as a Trustee of the College,” said BTC President, Dr. Joseph E. Bukowski. “He has provided leadership to the Board and the College in many ways, and he will be missed.” Mr. Carson has served as a Belmont Technical College Board Trustee since July 2008.

Founded in 1971, Belmont Technical College is one of 23 community colleges in the University System of Ohio. The College offers 30 associate degrees and 11 certificate programs to serve the multiple needs of area citizens. Belmont offers a comprehensive array of credit and non-credit programming at the Main Campus in St. Clairsville.  The College also has locations in Cadiz and Woodsfield, Ohio.
