Aspiring Engineers to Test Their Skills at Annual Belmont College TEAMS Competition

WHAT:                 Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science (TEAMS) Regional Competition

                                                Student Arrival                  8:00-9:00am

                                                Part I Testing                      9:15-10:30am

                                                Part II Testing                    11:00 am – 12:30pm

                                                Lunch & Awards               12:30pm


WHERE:               Belmont College Horizon Hall, Main Campus – St. Clairsville, Ohio


WHY: More than 200 students from eight local high schools are set to compete in the 2016 Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science (TEAMS) regional competition at Belmont College. The event is presented locally by XTO Energy.


The TEAMS competition involves a three-hour written exam where students work in groups of eight. The students use math and science skills to solve real-world engineering challenges in applied science and technology, including: architectural, biomedical, computer technology, fire-protection, mining, telecommunications, transportation or wireless technologies.
