Belmont College Holds Heritage Tree and Emeritus Ceremony
St. Clairsville, OH (October 27, 2016) — In recognition of his dedication and commitment to Belmont College, Mr. Vince Gallagher of Bridgeport, Ohio, was awarded high honors at the October 27th Honors Reception held at the Main Campus in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
Mrs. Elizabeth Gates, Board of Trustees Chairperson presented Mr. Gallagher with his award.
“The Board of Trustees has chosen to honor Mr. Gallagher, not only in recognition of his unique contributions to Belmont College, but also to the community in which we live,” said Mrs. Gates. “Mr. Gallagher became a member of the Belmont College Foundation Board in 2011 and has an impressive resume which includes numerous organizational associations and notable work within the community.”
The Heritage Tree Award is presented to individuals who have helped shape Belmont College through their leadership efforts and steadfast dedication. A symbolic tree with gold leaves adorns a prominent spot in the college to showcase the names of the current honorees and those who previously received the distinction. Inductee’s names are etched on the tree as a permanent reminder of their individual commitment to the creation, growth and development of Belmont College’s heritage.
“Mr. Gallagher was selected for this honor in acknowledgement of his unique contributions and long history with Belmont College,” said Dr. Paul F. Gasparro, President. “He has devoted his time and excellent work to the college and our students and we deeply appreciate his commitment.”
Gallagher is a graduate of Wheeling College, now known as Wheeling Jesuit University. After 36 years with a number of investment firms in the Wheeling, West Virginia, he formed Pathway Growth Partners, LLC in March 2016 and opened his own office in Bridgeport, Ohio. He currently holds the designation of Investment Advisor Representative.
Gallagher serves on numerous boards of trustees for organizations in the Ohio Valley, including the Belmont College Foundation Board. He also serves as President of the Eastern Ohio Regional Waste Water authority and was recently named to the Board of Belco Works. Gallagher served as past President of Wheeling Jesuit University Alumni, past President of Rotary Club of Bridgeport, past President of Wheeling Lions Club and past President of the Belmont County AARP Chapter.
