Belmont College to Offer Safeland and OSHA Training
St. Clairsville, OH (January 27, 2016) –The Workforce Development and Community Education Department at Belmont College is currently offering industry safety training courses. These courses include an OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Training Program, as well as a SafeLand Training course for the oil and gas industry. All classes will be held at the Belmont College Main Campus location in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
The OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry-level construction worker’s general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. This program is a 10-hour course which includes a 7.5-hour class on a Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm and a 2.5-hour class on a Saturday from 8:00am – 10:30am. Additionally offered is a one-day SafeLand training course. SafeLand is the accepted standard for safety orientation for the U.S. upstream oil and gas industry. Participants will receive a photo ID SafeLand card with a unique bar code.
Scheduled SafeLand training dates for 2016 include the third Thursday of every month except for the holiday months of November and December. Registration is available for the following dates:
