Workforce and Community Education Classes Offered at Belmont College

St. Clairsville, OH (January 31, 2017) – The Workforce Development and Community Education Department at Belmont College is currently offering several class options for the 2017 Spring Term. All classes will be held at the Belmont College Main Campus location in St. Clairsville, Ohio.


Non-credit Real Estate classes will be offered Tuesday and Thursday’s from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Once students have successfully completed all four classes they will receive a Certificate of Completion. The Real Estate courses will prepare students to take the State of Ohio Real Estate Exam. Students must have a high school diploma or GED in order to enroll. Classes and dates are as follows:


  • Real Estate Principals and Practices – March 14 through April 13
  • Real Estate Appraisal – April 18 through May 2
  • Real Estate Law – May 4 through June 6
  • Real Estate Finance – June 8 through June 22


Additionally, a 70-hour Pharmacy Technician Program is offered this spring. Students who complete the program will receive a Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Completion from Belmont College. In addition, this course prepares students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. Upon completion of the PTCB exam, students’ qualifications will meet or exceed Pharmacy Technician employment requirements in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The PTCB exam is not included in the cost of this program and can be taken at any Pearson Vue Testing Center.


Classes will be offered beginning March 15 through May 18 on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s from 6:00pm – 9:30pm. An 80-hour clinical externship with an area pharmacy is available at no-cost to students who successfully complete the course.


Belmont is also offering a Zumba Pound-Fit class as part of their Community Education program. Classes are offered on Tuesday’s February 21 through April 18 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. A yoga mat is a requirement to attend class.
