Workforce and Community Education Courses Offered at Belmont College

St. Clairsville, OH (October 19, 2017) – The Workforce Development and Community Education Department at Belmont College is pleased to announce that they are now offering a wide selection of workforce and community education courses. These non-credit courses include Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, as well as offerings in communications, computers, daycare, and real estate. All classes, unless otherwise noted, will be held at the Belmont College Main Campus location in St. Clairsville, Ohio.


Registration is now available for the following courses:


  • Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers – October 24 & 25; 6:00-10:00pm
  • Early Childhood Literacy – November 20 – November 27; Online;
  • Early Childhood Activities – November 22 – November 29; Online;
  • Communicable Disease Renewal – November 14; 6:00-9:00pm
  • Real Estate Exam Prep – December 2; 9:00am-3:00pm;
  • Real Estate 10-Hour Post Licensure – December 14 – December 15; 9:00am-3:00pm.


Additionally, registration is now open for CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). Belmont College’s five-week Truck Driving Academy program, in partnership with American Professional Truck Driving School, offers students a comprehensive curriculum to prepare them to pass the CDL exam. Training will consist of two weeks of classroom training at Belmont College followed by three weeks of behind-the-road pad training at American Professional’s Gnadenhutten, Ohio location.


Students will receive practice time behind the wheel from state-certified instructors, licensed by the Ohio Division of Public Safety, and with a minimum of three years’ experience. The cost of the student’s CDL license exam will be included in the training for the first two attempts. Hazmat endorsements are also included in the cost of the training for an additional fee.
