Belmont College to Offer State Tested Nurse Aid Training
St. Clairsville, OH (November 5, 2019) – Belmont College offers a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Training Program that meets the education and testing requirements for nursing assistants as required by the Ohio Department of Health.
The 75-hour program will be offered at the Main Campus location in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning January 13, 2020 through March 25, 2020, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 14, 2020 through March 24, 2020 from 5:15 p.m.to 8:15 p.m.
Students need a state and federal background check, as well as the two-step TB testing to register.
In addition to classroom and lab work, clinical experiences will allow students to demonstrate patient care skills in care settings under the supervision of licensed nurses. Upon successful completion of the training program, students will be prepared to take the Ohio Department of Health – STNA examination.
STNA training is also a pre-requisite for entrance into Belmont College’s nursing programs.
