St. Clairsville, OH (March 3, 2020) Belmont College’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) local chapter Beta Theta Mu received Reach Rewards congratulations for outstanding recruitment efforts in 2019.
Chapters who achieve or exceed membership acceptance rates of 15% or greater are recognized. Professor Desiree Lyonette, PTK Faculty Advisor, was extremely excited and proud of her students, as 2019 was her first full year as the PTK faculty advisor. “It was a great team effort between Stephanie, our PTK Staff Advisor, myself, our students, and our campus who assisted in promoting the benefits of membership to invitees. This was the first year we included a summer recruitment effort,” said Professor Lyonette.
At Belmont College, students who achieve a GPA of 3.75 or greater receive an invitation for membership from PTK. Belmont College nearly double the required 15% by achieving an acceptance rate of 28.4%. The chapter receives PTK regalia for the Beta Theta Mu Chapter to use at graduation. More than 121,600 students joined PTK in 2019.
Belmont College was 1 of 9 Ohio Chapters to earn this recognition. 611 Chapters earned Reach Reward recognitions of the more than 1,250 Chapters throughout the world.
