Belmont College Board of Trustees Welcomes New Members
Belmont College announces the addition of two new members to the College Board of Trustees
St. Clairsville, OH (September 29, 2015) – Belmont College is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to serve on the College Board of Trustees. New board members, appointed by Ohio Governor John Kasich, include Mr. Edward D. Eberhart representing Belmont County, and Col. Wayne A. Smith, representing Monroe County.
Mr. Eberhart and Col. Smith were installed at the September 24, 2015 Board of Trustees meeting with Attorney Richard Myser, of Myser and Davies, administering the Oath of Office.
Mr. Eberhart, from Barnesville, Ohio, currently works for Harvey Goodman Relator and is a Senior Minister at the First Christian Church in Barnesville. He is a graduate of Muskingum College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, as well as a minor in Speech Communications and a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. Eberhart also received his Ohio License in Real Estate Sales from Hondros College. He is active in several area boards and organizations such as, Barnesville Rotary; Barnesville Area Ministerial Association; Barnesville Community Foundation; Belmont County and Ohio Board of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors; as well as a former member of the Executive Committee of the Belmont County Republican Party.
Col. Smith, from Woodsfield, Ohio is a member of the Monroe County Board of Elections. Presently retired, Col. Smith is a former Senior Advisor to the Commanding General U.S. Army, as well as former Senior Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff of Logistics, Department of the Army. He is a graduate of The Indiana Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, as well as a graduate of The George Washington University with a Masters of Public Administration. Col. Smith is active in the local community through several area boards and organizations such as the Monroe County Republican Central and Executive Committees; American Legion; Association of the U.S. Army; Monroe County Farm Bureau; and Monroe Lodge No 189.
