Belmont College to Offer State Tested Nurse Aid Training
St. Clairsville, OH (February 10, 2015) – Belmont College offers a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Training Program that meets the education and testing requirements for nursing assistants as required by the Ohio Department of Health.
STNA training is also a pre-requisite for entrance into Belmont College’s nursing programs.
In addition to classroom work, clinical experiences will allow students to demonstrate personal care skills in care settings under the supervision of experienced nurses. Upon successful completion of the training program, students will receive the State of Ohio Nurse Aide Certificate and be qualified to take the STNA examination.
The 88-hour program is offered on Fridays and Saturdays at the Main Campus location in St. Clairsville; classes begin March 6 and run through April 12 from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Students need a state and federal background check to register.
Individuals interested in STNA training are encouraged to contact the Workforce Development and Community Education Department, at (740) 699.3869 or visit belmontcollege.edu.
