Goal: Design, implement, and maintain an integrated, donor-focused, fundraising function comprised of multiple giving options to raise funds for strategic institutional priorities.
Objective #1: Initiate a plan to improve upon existing and to build new strategic relationships with friends of Belmont College in the community.
Objective #2: Create a culture of philanthropy that is based on interactions as they are viewed from the donor's perspective in order to increase the number and frequency of donations.
Objective #3: Launch and complete a Major Gifts Campaign that meets or exceeds the goal as determined by a feasibility study to provide funds for major initiatives including but not limited to the future Health Sciences Center.
Objective #4: Raise the profile of the Foundation as a charity of choice in the local community.
Objective #5: Implement a comprehensive Annual Giving Program by soliciting targeted segments of the donor database, tailoring each appeal to the segmented group to increase the overall response to each appeal.
Objective #6: Create a predictable, dependable stream of annual funding from the foundation to the operating budget of the college based on the Annual Giving Program.
Objective #7: Design and implement an orientation process for Foundation Board members to build a sense of commitment among the members.
Objective #8: Formalize a planned giving program to increase the number of donors provide bequests to the College.
Objective #9: Implement an organized system of donor recognition to publicly and privately recognize the support and commitment of donors on an ongoing basis.
Objective #10: Create a process of external funding feasibility in the capital planning process with respect to funding for projects contained within the plan to help ensure that funding obligations are met for initiatives within the plan.
Objective #11: Create a calendar of signature events to include not only fundraising events, but also donor recognition events and community and public functions to stimulate interaction between the general public and the college community.
Objective #12: Evaluate funding needs of the college as outlined in the Strategic Plan and endeavor to determine the available means to raise funds for those purposes in order to support the achievement of departmental objectives.
Objective #13: Develop strategies to cultivate current students as future donors from initial enrollment through graduation and beyond.
Objective #14: Implement a grant-writing process to secure public and private funds for strategic priorities.
