Goal: Design and implement systems and processes that will support a student-centered philosophy by empowering employees, encouraging innovation, and focusing on continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability to maximize student success.
Objective #1: Support institutional strategic goals by collaborating with all college departments and utilizing best practices aligned with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
Objective #2: Assess and improve the hiring process to ensure a highly qualified and inspired faculty and staff.
Objective #3: Review employment practices and make necessary adjustments to provide an institutional-focused employment model.
Objective #4: Study and benchmark services provided by the Human Resources Department to ensure support of a student-centered philosophy.
Objective #5: Implement an employee survey strategy to provide data for effectiveness and consistency of human resource policies and processes and organizational climate.
Objective #6: Utilize human resource data to drive decision-making and provide research to support college functions.
Objective #7: Create a plan to improve employee retention.
Objective #8: Strengthen employee performance by improving the performance review system that identifies performance improvement opportunities and pinpoints development opportunities.
Objective #9: Conduct a study of current compensation models and college-provided fringe benefits, and provide recommendations to link employee salary and benefits with strategic goals and objectives.
