Workforce Development & Community Education

Training for Business & Industry

Through the Workforce Development and Community Education Department, we offer classes for those seeking a specific skill set without the extended time commitment of completing a degree or certificate. We also develop training in customer specific areas for individuals or groups to help businesses /industries maximize their productivity and profit. Our mission is to provide educational opportunities that maximize workforce performance, career development, and self-enrichment.

Adult Diploma Program

Ohio’s Adult Diploma Program offers a high school diploma to Ohio residents, 22 and older. Graduates of this program will receive a state issued high school diploma as well as credentials and training for an in-demand career field. Choose from manufacturing, medical careers and skilled trades. Best of all, it’s free!


Contract Training

Build your own class! Gather six or more co-workers together and we will deliver classes and/or training just for you. Contact us for a free training assessment.

In addition to classroom based courses, distance learning options are available. These courses are web-based and can be taken at your convenience – all you need is a computer and internet access.

  • BeCommunity! – Community Education classes that offer flexible and convenient non-credit courses designed to upgrade skills for personal development… or just for fun! All classes are currently virtual and offered through Zoom Video Conferencing.

Ohio TechCred Credentials

  • TechCred: Launched by Lt. Gov. Jon Husted and the Office of Workforce Transformation, the TechCred program aims to enhance Ohio’s skilled workforce by reimbursing employers who help their employees earn industry-recognized, technology-focused credentials. Boosting Ohio’s manufacturing talent pool is an important goal of the program.
