Welcome to #BeCommunity!

Community Education offers flexible and convenient non-credit courses designed to upgrade skills for personal development… or just for fun! All classes are currently virtual and offered through Zoom Video Conferencing.

Announcing our new “In the kitchen with…” series! Buy one cooking/baking class and get the second free (applies to cooking/baking classes only)!

 

Smoking RibsTuesday, May 18 at 6:30pm. Learn how to smoke the perfect rack of ribs for your Memorial Day picnic! Dean Barath, of Ideal Provisions Food Truck from Bridgeport, OH, will be virtually teaching the best tips and tricks to smoke ribs! Course fee is $15.00. Taught virtually through Zoom. Just call to register and we will send you the class link!

 

Baking and Decorating Sugar Cookies – Tuesday, May 25 at 6:30pm. Master baking a delicious sugar cookie for your Memorial Day celebration! Join Jacquie from Unique Treats by Jacquie as she virtually demonstrates the best tips and tricks to baking and decorating one of everyone’s favorite sweet treat – sugar cookies! Course fee is $15.00. Taught virtually through Zoom. Just call to register and we will send you the class link and ingredient list.

 

Book Club – We will be discussing An American Marriage by Tayari Jones.

Bee Keeping Open Hive DemonstrationNew date to be announced due to grumpy bees and cold weather. If you’re thinking about starting a backyard beehive or are just curious about what’s involved with keeping bees, then this is a great introductory class for you. The class is designed for beginners so and no prerequisite knowledge is required. Taught by Shayne Loy a member of the Tri-State Beekeepers Association. Course fee is $15.00.

We add new classes every semester, so check back regularly!

Registration Procedures

To register fill out a Workforce Development and Community Education application or call 740.699.3868. You can also visit us in the Workforce Development & Community Education Department in Room #1110 at our Main Campus location.

 

Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Class sizes are limited, so enroll early. We reserve the right to cancel a class if the minimum enrollment is not met. Failure to attend class does not guarantee withdrawal or eligibility for a refund. Responsibility for withdrawing remains with the student.
