Belmont College to Offer State Tested Nurse Aid Training
St. Clairsville, OH (August 1, 2018) – Belmont College offers a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Training Program that meets the education and testing requirements for nursing assistants as required by the Ohio Department of Health.
The 80-hour program will be offered at the Main Campus location in St. Clarsville, Ohio on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning August 20 through October 29, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 21 through October 25 from 5:15 p.m.to 8:15 p.m.
Additionally, classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Harrison County Center in Cadiz, Ohio beginning October 2 through December 11, from 5:15 p.m.to 8:15 p.m. Classes will also be offered at the Monroe County Center in Woodsfield, Ohio on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning October 1 through December 10, from 5:15 p.m.to 8:15 p.m.
Students need a state and federal background check to register.
In addition to classroom work, clinical experiences will allow students to demonstrate personal care skills in care settings under the supervision of experienced nurses. Upon successful completion of the training program, students will receive the State of Ohio Nurse Aide Certificate and be qualified to take the STNA examination.
STNA training is also a pre-requisite for entrance into Belmont College’s nursing programs.
